The next Vancouver Island Baby Fair Photo Contest will take place Sept. 29-30, 2012 at the Vancouver Island Baby Fair.
This year, we'll be working with Marie Brown of Premier Photography, and raising money for the Young Parents Support Network. This organization serves families living in poverty throughout Greater Victoria, providing outreach, support groups, prenatal classes, an outreach doula program, a future planning program, and parenting education to young parents up to age 29 and their children.
100% of the money raised from the Photo Contest, Stroller Parking, and Face Painting at our events always go to charity. We have raised $14,000 and provided exposure to several charities over the past six years.
Photo Contest participants get their photo snapped in our professional on-site photo studio and receive a free 5x7 print after the fair. Judges determine one winner in each category: 0-24 months old and 2-6 years old. Each of those winning families win fantastic prize package from Premier Photography - plus the winner of the 'Baby' category is featured on the cover on an issue of Island Parent Magazine!
Our 2012 photographer is Marie Brown from Premier Photography.
